What this site is
This site describes the services of Wellman Energy Solutions LLC ("WES") and provides general information about energy programs available in New York State. It is informational. Nothing on this site is an offer, a contract, a guarantee of results, or professional engineering, legal, tax, or financial advice.
Professional engineering
WES does not offer professional engineering services. Work that requires a licensed Professional Engineer, including stamped studies and certain NYSERDA program submissions, is performed by licensed professional engineering firms WES teams with. Nothing on this site should be read as an offer by WES to practice engineering.
Incentives, rebates, and program information
Incentive amounts, eligibility rules, bonus periods, and program terms described on this site are published by NYSEG, RG&E, NYSERDA, and other program administrators, change without notice, and are subject to each program's rules, eligibility review, funding availability, and pre-approval requirements. WES is an independent contractor participating in the NYSEG and RG&E Trade Ally Network and is an approved Retro-Commissioning Trade Service Provider for those programs. WES is not an agent, representative, or contractor of NYSEG, RG&E, NYSERDA, or the New York Public Service Commission, and none of them endorses WES or any equipment WES supplies. NYSERDA assigns the consultant for Agriculture Energy Audit Program audits. Program figures on this site carry the date they were verified; confirm current terms with the program administrator before relying on them.
No guarantee of savings
Energy and cost savings depend on how a building is operated, weather, utility rates, and the measures actually implemented. Examples on this site describe what metering has found in buildings generally. WES does not guarantee any particular savings, incentive amount, or demand response payment, and figures for any specific project are provided only in a written proposal.
The self-check
The self-check on the home page is a conversation starter, not an assessment. It runs in your browser, stores nothing unless you submit the screening form, and its result is not a diagnosis of any building or system.
Third-party names and marks
Product and company names on this site are the property of their respective owners and are used only to identify products and working relationships. Their appearance does not imply endorsement of WES by those companies unless stated.
Intellectual property
The text, design, illustrations, and code of this site belong to WES unless otherwise noted. You may link to the site and quote short passages with attribution. Please ask before reproducing more.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, WES is not liable for any loss arising from use of this site or reliance on its contents. The site is provided as is, without warranty of any kind.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of New York. Any dispute concerning this site will be brought in the state or federal courts located in Steuben County, New York.
